We are excited to announce the release of Halloween in Doxieville, written by Darrin Todd Martin and Illustrated by Jan Row! Halloween in Doxieville is published by Doxieville Books under our Columbus Publishing Lab imprint.
The leaves are falling and there is a chill in the air, which means Halloween is coming to Doxieville very soon. The doxies can’t wait to go trick-or-treating, but there is one spooky house they always steer clear of. Miss Lucy is an elderly lady who keeps to herself and never speaks to anyone. She lives in an old, run-down house that is known for its spooky activity. When Miss Dixie suggests that the doxies make friends with Miss Lucy, they are surprised to discover that the spooky house isn’t what it appears to be.
The doxies learn that sometimes first impressions can be wrong and that making an effort to be friendly and kind can change things in a very big way. They also learn that friendship does not have an age limit, and older people can have plenty of love to give and a lifetime of stories to share.
